Exhibit Booth Modification for improved efficiency and reduced cost

Electrical System Modification – modify your trade show exhibit booth to reduce rental and set-up costs: Normally, electricity is routed under your exhibit carpet. Flat cords are rented from the company that supplies electrical service at the show. We have a customer with a 30' x 100' trade show exhibit that used to require 15 cords to be taped to the floor. We went through one show with this method of electrical distribution. The cost for the cord rental was $1100+ and labor to install thede cords another $800. As it seemed criminal to pay so much to rent power cords, and then another huge sum to tape these cords to the floor, after this first show, we decided to manufacture custom cords and modified the exhibit so that we could install these cords at the end of exhibit set-up. We were able to cut the installation time for the cords down to 1 hour and completely eliminate the rental cost. Our customer is now saving $1900/show.

Exhibit Exterior Modification – modify your exhibit to reduce freight handling and set-up labor costs: A customer had a booth with plexi-glass outer walls. These were heavy to transport and labor intensive to install and dismantle. The customer was looking to lower their costs and increase their graphics compatible areas. After careful deliberation with their wish-list in hand we decided to replace the plexi-glass outer shell with tension fabric walls. This allowed us to eliminate two very heavy crates or 3000 lbs. from freight handling and made exhibit booth set-up much more efficient. Overall yearly savings:

  • Freight handling cost savings / show: 3000 lbs. / 100 * $30.45 / 100 lbs.= $913.50 * 2 shows / year = $1827
  • Labor for I & D / show: 16 hrs * 67.50 = $1080.00 * 2 shows per year = $2160
  • Monthly storage fee between shows $60 / month * 6 months = $360.00 * 2 shows per year = $720
  • Total yearly savings = $4707.00
